Bound in purple velveteen with decorative art nouveau style stamp detail to front board and gilt tooling to spine. Full gilt edges with red tint. Black and white frontispiece illustration of William Wordsworth, taken from a drawing by Hancock about 1798.
Light blue marbled end papers with a blank, yellow ex libris plate on front paste down. Text pages are order bright and clear with no visible signs of foxing. Binding is sound. In good antique condition within

Some foxing to end papers, fly pages and protective paper between frontispiece and title page. The fragile velveteen binding has seen some wear throughout the years, with rubbing and chipping around edges, corners and around edges of spine (where rubbing is heavier) - likely from shelving and handling. Some chipping, rubbing and staining to boards.

Sunning to spine and cracks in material around joints of spine. Bumped corners and wear to internal joint between front board and end paper. Small pen markings on fly pages and top right corner clipped from first title page
