This ballpoint pen features bocote (bo-co-tay'). The tree grows in southern Mexico and Central America. This beautiful wood is characterized by yellow and black striping. Straight grained bocote is pretty but when the grain is varied, as it is in this pen, the visual impact is stunning.
The fantastic thing about this design is that is mostly wood. The fittings are almost an afterthought.
You extend and retract the writing point with a simple click to the button on the top of the pen.
