This Asian Flamewood DE (Double Edge) Safety Razor handle was handturned in my shop. The DE Safety Razor is 4 5/8" long (2.8 ounces) and contains a clone Edwin Jagger DE head. This DE razor provides a non-agresssive shave that is good for either the new or experienced wet shaver. If you're new to wet shaving and are looking for a cool little razor this is a perfect fit for you or your loved one. The razor pictured is the one you will receive.

The shaving razor's finish (Cyanoacrylate--i.e., Superglue) is durable, highly polished and cannot be penetrated by water. When using the razor, you can get the handle as wet as you want during use and not worry about the wood being damaged. To maintain the finish you just need to wipe it dry after each use. Don't buy a handmade razor unless you know exactly what is used for the finish. I make hundreds of custom razors each year and this is the only finish that will last for years in the tough shaving environment.

The handle on this safety razor is solid wood. Most of the DE safety razors sold on Etsy are craft/hobby kits that use a hollow brass tube for the mass of the handle with only a thin layer of wood covering the hollow tube. Before buying a DE safety razor, make sure you buy one that is actually handmade.
