order These dolls were inspired by Peruvian folkloric dances (e.g. Huaylas/Huayno) and on the contemporary clothes that the indigenous women wear nowadays. The profusion of color is outstanding.

This beautiful Andean dancer would make a wonderful addition to any collection of international dolls. Even though you can purchase it as a toy, it is recommended for decoration only.

This stylish handmade Andean doll was made using different techniques. These include, paper Mache and wood crafting (part of the body and head), wire twisting and shaping, embroidery flossing, and dressmaking with colorful Peruvian fabric for the clothes.

* Please Note: Every doll has a base made of recycled and leftover scraps of paper. By cutting, folding and twisting strips of paper into little spirals, the base attaches to the doll's legs (made of wire and covered with floss.) This can be fragile if not treated with care. The legs slightly bend but this should not be common practice. The doll should stand on her own or with a little tweaking.

The outfit was made by using pretty Andean fabrics and was designed with great attention to small details. Flowers were embroidered on the jacket using colorful floss. The handmade hat and the pompom accessory (a dance tool) were all stitched by hand. Cotton embroidery Floss was used to braid her hair.

We spent many hours creating these unique dolls. Passion for sharing my heritage and patience were the key to produce this beautiful folkloric dancer.

Refunds and exchange:

I am happy to exchange any item that you are not 100% pleased with, but please read the descriptions carefully before placing your order to avoid disappointment. If you want to make an exchange and we have already shipped your order, you will have to wait to receive the original order and you will be responsible for shipping costs and some applicable fees in order for the exchange to be completed.

Broken and Cracked items:

We can replace broken or cracked items if they arrived in that state, but NO CASH REFUNDS. Buyers are responsible for the shipping costs of the broken or cracked item. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. Time limit for replacement is 5 days after receiving the order.
