Here we have scarce, sheet music for the "Nevada State Song" dated 1920. Words and music by Lenore Sollender. The cover features a Native American woman with her child in a papoose watching a gold miner pan a river.
Lenore Sollender-Hanby of Tonopah, NV was a singer and songwriter, in the 1910s and 1920s who had many songs published. Most had patriotic themes.
Although published by the Los Angeles Music order Pub. Co. in 1920 as the Nevada state song, the official state song, "Home Means Nevada" by Bertha Rafetto would not be adopted by the legislature until 1933.
Measurements: 12" x 9"
Condition: Very good condition. There is a torn off piece at the bottom, rigth corner (see photo). If you are to frame this, the tear would virtually disaapear. It does not affect the contents of the sheet music in any way. All pages are present.
