Vintage Mid Century Modern Oil on order Canvas Still Life by Blanche Colman This is a very nice mid century modern still life painting by Blanche Emily Colman. The painting has quite a bit of age to it as you can see some cracking in the paint and the canvas is browned with age. The painting is set in a deep wooden frame that has some wonderful age to it and is signed in the lower left hand corner B.E. Colman. The frame measures 27 3/4" x 23 1/2" sight seen dimensions are 21 1/4" x 17" The artist:Blanche Emily Colman was an American born artist born in 1874 and passed away in 1959. She was a painter, an etcher and designer and she exhibited all over the country. The frame is in excellent condition and has signs of age including numerous worm holes. The painting itself is also in very good condition though as stated there is some crazing in the paint. There are also a couple punctures in the canvas along the bottom and a spot where another frames corner scratched the back of the canvas.
