This large platter is vintage, from Villeroy & Boch discontinued Audun Ferme Country Collection, made in Luxembourg, Germany. The center of the platter is illustrating folk countryside scene where family working together, reaping of hay. There is a woman sitting on top of the hay on the cart drawn by the horses and two men working with sickle tools to gather the hay, animals like chicken, sheep, and a dog and flowers in the foreground. The plate is detailed with the yellow band on the edge and wide floral trimming around.
These plates will be a lovely addition to any country cottage, farmhouse, rustic, or countryside kitchen decor. It can be added to any black and white dining set and easy match with your existing serve-wares.

••• Condition: overall good condition, but there are signs of previous use- the surface has scratches presumably from cutting the food on the dish with a knife. When you look at the plate straight on, these scratches are hardly noticeable, but when you tilt it to look in the light you can see there are lots of fine surface scratches. So the image itself is not order affected. There is also a chip on the bottom of the plate, on the edge of the rim, about 0.5" wide, not noticeable from the top of the plate.
