This lovely handspun yarn has been handpainted in shades of green, blue and golden brown. Lustrous and silky, this fiber combo is wonderfully soft with gorgeous luster and drape. Perfect for next-to-skin items, you could knit up a hat, cowl, or pair of mitts. Alternately, use on your loom to create gorgeous OOAK fabric. Makes a great gift for the fiber lover in your life.

The Bluefaced Leicester is known for its exceptional fleece. BFL is classified as a longwool breed because of the way their locks of wool are formed. Its fleece is in high demand from knitters and fiber artists alike because of its “next to the skin” softness and lustrous shine. These qualities produce a yarn with excellent drape, that is also very soft and squishy. Of the three types of Leicesters, the Bluefaced Leicester produces the finest fleece, with a count of 24-28 microns.

This yarn was spun on my Lendrum ST wheel in a smoke free, pet friendly environment.

This yarn will felt. If that is not your intention, please be sure to handwash gently in cool water and lay flat to dry.
