order Dating to the 1960 or so, here's a Sterling Silver (hallmarked as pictured) yellow gold vermeil pin/brooch with a coating of white enamel over the engine turned (guilloche) background. The design is very modernistic, a swirl of ribbon would be the closest I can come to describing the design. By Finn Jensen of Norway, the pin features a safety catch to hold the p instem in place. Size is 2-3/16" long X 1-5/16" wide; weight is 11.1 grams. Excellent condition with no chips/cracks to the enamel. All that's needed is a light polish to bring up a gleam to the yellow gold overlay and a light wash to take off the polish residue (some showing in my photos). A lovely design!

Finn Jensen began his silversmith apprenticeship with Jacob Tostrup, an early and well known Norwegian jeweler. Finn Jensen, along with his partner Jnut Aamodt, founded the jewelry manufacturing firm of Jensen and Aamodt in 1946. Finn Jensen then began his own company around 1953 manufacturing primarily sterling and enamel jewelry. The company continued in business until Finn Jensen's death in 1976 when it was bought by OPRO, another Norwegian jewelry firm.
