This scene played out for me on a long drive and I found myself compelled to capture it in some way. The arrow was purchased for a separate project but presented itself as the perfect canvas. As much as I love to travel, I don't get to go as many places as I'd like. This painting expresses wanderlust in such a simple way.

I took up order painting during the pandemic because it was always something I wanted to try and I really love it. I've always been a maker and I love practicing this new skill and hope to become better at it with time.
