These 1" in diameter, order domed mid century earrings are made of Bakelite (verified by me with the use of Simichrome cream). Heavily and expertly marbled and in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks or scratches.

A rich, marbled olive green in color, the earrings have a CARVED STAR in the middle, into which is set a fantastically faceted clear rhinestone. The carving is even and gorgeous and the rhinestone has tremendous brilliance.

The doming gives these lovely lassies a generous 1/2" depth which sets off the bakelite even more.

The screw backs are secure and functional, and these could easily be turned into pierced earrings by someone in the know.

These are exceptionally impressive and expertly crafted pieces, once again highlighting the superb craftsmanship of the 20th century.
