A beautiful and rare collection of 5 (five) Original French Vintage, Nelson Editions, antique books all by Victor Hugo.

These books are much older Nelson editions, dating from the early 1900's (1904-1910's) all having magnificent decorative gold leaf lettering titles.

This collection has wonderful, heavily decorated hardback covers. Old, rare and very sought for collection. These books are issue from the Victor Hugo full work collection, "Oeuvres completes de Victor Hugo"

This creamy beige book collection is in nice vintage condition, dating from the early 20th century there are scuffs to pages, some pages detaching slightly from the spine on some books and some covers of some books are corned.

Visible stains and discoloration from storage in an attic, having a darkened patina due to old age, tea stains and order discoloration can vary from one book to another, some more affected than others ( please see photos) inside they are lovely and cleaner than the outside, but do also have plenty of naturally tea stained pages. Some pages are curled and book cover corners are bumped.

These are very collectible books and will gain in value.
