They are nine daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne in Greek mythology. Each one of them represents a different art. The Word ‘music' comes from Muses.

Apollo symbolizes lots of subjects such as light, sun, prophecy, arts, health. Delphic oracles were based on Apollo cult.
