John Edwards Ironstone Chamber Pot with Lid, Antique White Ironstone Chamber Pot
Chamber pot measures 8.5 inches in diameter without handle and 10.25 inches with handle included. About 5.5 inches tall. Marked John Edwards. Warranted Ironstone China on bottom.
Lid diameter is about 9.5 inches and when in place the. height of chamber pot with lid is about 7.5 inches.
Good antique condition, one very faint surface hairline mark on glazing, not an actual crack that is seen on the underside. Appears to be in the glazing only, cannot feel with fingertips. Chamber pot is in good antique condition, some mfg. blemishes, marks where it would have been held with Tynes or forks during process. A couple of light minimal tiny spots as well. Overall set is clean and nice. Lion face detail on handle of pot and maybe a lions face on lid handle. Not as detailed so I am not 100 percent sure if lid is a matched set. Fits on base just fine so order my guess is that it is original to the set.
