The COVID-19 pandemic and quarantine have definitely fueled my art practice.
Rather than giving in to frustration and despair, I focus on the connections that are still possible and beauty wherever it can be found (or created).
This particular piece celebrates the joy I find in the lily pads that grace a nearby pond. The magic of flowers floating like little boats all across the water makes my heart sing - and reminds me of a famous French artist who also found this subject inspiring.
