Wool Painting - Amalfi Coast order

Painting with wool, or needle felting is such a unique and interesting craft. It is both a calming and meditative experience, and bring such warmth to both the creator and the viewer. The process of felting involves use of a small needle and colored roving ( wool which is not spun into yarn). To create this image, the colored roving was layered and secured into place using the needle tool.

This piece was inspired by the view along the Amalfi Coast in Italy.

Extremely unique and one of a order kind this handmade piece makes an excellent gift. Measuring 5.5 inches in diameter, and mounted on a circular felt board, this piece can be hung on the wall as is (it has an adhesive backing), framed using an embroidery hoop or shadow box, or displayed on a tabletop.
