These jewel beetles (Chrysochroa fulminans) are mounted on a piece of grapevine wood and surrounded order by green reindeer moss and dried yellow broom flowers. Everything is housed inside a glass dome with a glossy black wood veneer base.
Found throughout southeast Asia to Papua New Guinea, these jewel beetles are instantly recognizable by their iridescent green elytra (wings). Often used in jewelry, their wings reflect an assortment of colors ranging from deep purple and blue to fiery red and orange.
