Gorgeous vintage REX Fifth Avenue order 1940's Face Powder Compact Mirror Art Deco style Royal Navy Blue with Brass Metal Collectible scroll leaf

Vintage REX Fifth Avenue NYC hinged "flapjack" Compact with powder puff from the 1940's. Royal blue enamel with brass.

Meticulously crafted out of brass and enamel in a scrolling leaf design, this beautiful compact/mirror had only one owner: My grandmother.

Features:
- a push button clasp that opens the compact.
- hinged on the back so it opens easily
- a large round mirror inside
- a base which holds loose face powder plus the original powder screen and powder puff.
- bottom exterior of the compact is brass with a carved design.
- a circle in the center (on top exterior) that can be engraved with a personalized monogram.
- a tiny bit of the original pink/flesh tone powder is still inside the compact.

Medium size, this compact is big enough to fit flat in my whole hand. It measures approximately:
4 inches in diameter x half an inch high.

Pre-owned in GOOD to VERY GOOD vintage condition. The screen and puff are in good (used) condition, as expected in an 80-year old item!
Some scuffs, surface scratches and a bit of tarnish on the brass metal.
The mirror has a few circular marks on the silvering but you can still see your face - close to 100% .
