This scarf features a pattern of starburst amacrine cells, a type of neuron in the retina. These cells, which play a role in detection of directional motion, are amazingly beautiful, resembling flowers or fireworks. This scarf was created from my original watercolor painting of a group of starburst amacrine cells. In a light teal with darker blue and white accents.
