Labradorite - a rock star of mystical lore and ancient legend - was first found by the natives of Canada (in Labrador, preceisely, hence the name) who believed that it was a stone created from the "frozen fire" of the Northern Lights. A stone of combination feldspars in greys etched often with black, it glows with a pearly sheen of irridescent blues, greens and even yellows depending on the stone and the light. It's white matrix version or cousin, is the often better known feldspar: Rainbow Moonstone. Search Rainbow Moonstone on our shop site! order
