Wooden Box Carved Folk Art Adrien Arpin Quebec Canada St. Hyacinthe Mid Century 1950s Vintage FREE SHIPPING
Here for your delight - a lovely piece of folk art from Quebec - a wooden box, hand carved in bas relief by wood carver Adrien Arpin who worked in St.-Hyacinthe, Quebec in the 1940s and 1950s.
The lid of the box is decorated with a winter landscape. A couple nestles in a horsedrawn sled.
My photographs don't really capture the beauty of this piece.
Rectangular, approximately 9 1/2 inches long, 4 1/2 inches wide, 2 inches high.
The lid lifts up; there are no hinges.
After 70 years or so in excellent condition with light wear, and no cracks or serious damage of any sort. There is a spot on the lower left of the lid, best seen in pictures 1 and 2.
Perfect for holding all that clutter on order your desk!
FREE and FAST SHIPPING! Of course I will pack it so it arrives intact :)
