Rare Vintage Holt Howard Cozy Kitty Salt & Pepper order Shakers, 1958-1960, Japan, Male Female Kitty Spice Shakers, Holt Howard, Mothers Day Gift

This listing is for a Rare Vintage Holt Howard Cozy Kitty Salt and Pepper Shaker Set. These adorable little porcelain felines were made in Japan (marked on the bottom). As typical, these Holt Howard pieces are stamped on the bottom with 'Japan', 'Holt Howard' (very faint) and the date is nearly indecipherable on both pieces but is usually between 1958-1961. These Cozy Kitties are in quite nice vintage condition. Notice the small chip on the right ear of the blue kitty and both ears of the pink kitty. There is a chip on the side of a toenail and what looks like a small hairline crack behind the right ear of the pink kitty. There is a tiny bit of crazing on the pink kitty and a bit more on the blue kitty, but it is faint. Both kitties have their original corks but they are hard, brittle and some of the rubber has chipped off. The metal on the bottom has some rust and corrosion. The hand painting is still vibrant and intact. Please inspect the photos closely for condition as they are an important part of my description. The female stands 4.5 inches tall and the male closer to 4.75 inches. This is a unique find and although not perfect are highly collectible and have a lot of vintage appeal.
