order Beautiful EAPG "Valencia Waffle" low compote with lid.

This compote is a perfect example of Early American Pattern Glass.

It was made by Adams Glass from 1885-1890. The pattern was then continued by US Glass until 1895.

Pattern name - Valencia Waffle aka Adams #85, Block and Star, Hexagonal Block.

What is interesting about this pattern is that the sides have two different patterns. The opposing sides have the same pattern while the adjacent sides have a second pattern.

Measurement: Compote is approximately 7" tall with lid x 6" square.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition- no chips, cracks, or repairs made. NOTE: There are a few flea bites on the foot, which are more like rough edges. Inside the compote bowl, there are some slight scratches.

This pattern has never been reproduced, it is comforting to know that when you do see a rare piece you know that it is the real thing and not a modern copy.
