Fatal Vision by order Joe McGinniss, First Edition (1983), Joseph Ralph McGinniss Sr (December 9 1942 – March 10 2014) authored twelve.
Joseph Ralph McGinniss Sr. (December 9, 1942 – March 10, 2014) authored twelve books, but is most popularly known for his trilogy of bestselling true crime books — Fatal Vision, Blind Faith and Cruel Doubt — all of which were adapted into TV miniseries in the 1980s and 90s. Fatal Vision is his 1983 account of the Jeffrey MacDonald murder case. The book became a sensation and has never been out of print.
From the jacket: "Fatal Vision is a chronicle of horrifying crime and its bizarre and extended aftermath, yet towering above the case itself is the magnetic and profoundly contradictory figure of Jeffrey MacDonald. Voted most popular and most likely to succeed in his Long Island high school, MacDonald seemed destined to have it all: married to his childhood sweetheart, moving at a whirlwind pace through the Ivy League, medical school and the military. First accused of the murders in 1970, he was cleared of all charges following the longest pre-trial hearing in military history...In 1974, however, a probe spurred by MacDonald's father-in-law, originally a staunch supporter, led to a grand jury indictment."
Here is a order 1983 first edition, first printing copy of the book. It comes with a completely intact dust jacked (no price clipping). The dust jacket has some wear and yellowing along the edges and minor rubbing typical of a book of this age. But the binding is tight and the pages are unmarked, clean and bright.
A wonderful gift for true crime fans!
