Virgin Mary and Jesus Child Sterling Silver Medal By order J. Martin

A beautiful vintage French religious pendant dating to the 1960's and made of sterling silver. The Christian locket finely depicts a soft portrait of Madonna and Child, Our Lady of Metz and Jesus Christ child.
The religious medal has been signed by the French engraver Jacques Martin (1885-1976). He won the first Second Prix de Rome for engraving in medals and fine stone in 1914. During the 1960s and 1970s, he focused on engraving medals.
