Vintage order Hand-Made "2472" Brass & Nickle Belt Buckle, Union Pacific Locomotive 2472, Railroadiana, Train Fan, Railroad Belt Buckle

This hand-made belt buckle features the large numbers "2472" in raised order brass characters with raised brass border on what looks to be a nickel background. The number 2472 is an ode to the famed Union Pacific locomotive 2472 which was built in 1921, retired in 1957, donated to San Mateo County, CA and was restored in the early 1990s. The restored locomotive was and is being used to pull excursion trains in Northern California at various locations. Were not sure how many of these belt buckles were made but we think they are relatively rare. There is an inscription engraved on the back side.

DIMENSIONS:
3.75" (9.5cm) wide X 2" (5cm) tall. Belt loops accommodates up to 1.5" (4cm) wide.

CONDITION:
This buckle is very good vintage condition with a few light scratches and some light tarnishing.
