“Dragon's Breath” gas giant marble - bands of sparkly black, green, orange amber, blue, and milky white with deep swirls

My gas giant marbles start with a sphere of opaque colored glass - usually jade white or green. Around this I put bands of other colors, introducing swirls and eddies to mimic the storms and currents of a gas giant planet. This one has vivid greens, sparkly black, magical amber and pink, and a touch of blue over a milky white base. Hard to see in photographs, one hemisphere is covered by a thin layer of clear, giving an optical depth to the colors.

Marbles can come with an optional display stand made with hardwoods carefully cut and finished. If you would like a stand, I will choose one that perfectly complements the marble.

Mapleseed Crafts Art Glass is handmade in Oakland, CA by Rowan Littell. Most pieces are signed and dated with a titanium pen as “JTL.” I anneal all glass pieces in a digitally controlled glass kiln. Glass is inert, easily cleaned, and small smudges or fingerprints can be wiped down with a microfiber cloth. order
