order Wonderful vintage hand made, hand painted Dorchester Pottery Stoneware (Dorchester,MA.) open footed shell shaped dish featuring the hand decorated classic BLUEBERRY design in the center and a solid blue top edge trim. The shell dish measures approximately 5-1/4" at the back x 4" wide x 1-1/2" deep at back (1-1/4” front). The base is marked with DORCHESTER POTTERY, C.A.H. (Charles A. Hill, decorator). They have a rich blue paint color, glaze is a smooth, even finish, there are no cracks, chips, hairlines or repairs - normal Dorchester glaze drip imperfections. A fun way to serve an individual side dish, candy or nuts! A wonderful FIRST QUALITY hard to find piece from the 1950s to add to any Dorchester and/or pottery collection.
