Large Rare Antique Print - The Batsman of order the Future - Cricket - Colour Lithograph Print -

A sumptuous colour lithographic antique print from 1886 (date indicated at bottom of print but not shown in photo) of "The Batsman of the Future". This is from the picture by English genre, portrait and landscape painter James Hayllar (1829–1920) .

Size: approx. 11.5 inches x 16 inches

This print appeared in the special 1886 summer number of The Graphic, a British weekly illustrated newspaper with immense influence on the art world. Vincent van Gogh was a particular fan. order

In very good condition. Minor tears, if any, have been repaired with archival mending tissue.

This is an original from 1886, not a reproduction! Bananastrudel sells only originals. The Bananastrudel watermark does not appear on the print.
