Vintage Bancel 8" French Bronze Crucifix Cross, Roman Catholic, Christian, order Religious, Wall Hanging.

Vintage art deco French bronze Bancel crucifix, with a sculpture of Christ in bronze, and a wooden cross, sourced near Chablis, in the Burgundy area of central France.
This was made by the Bancel Foundry in France, perhaps one of the most well known makers of traditional crucifixes, founded in 1866.
There is a brass loop on the reverse for wall hanging.
The wood has a silky smooth finish and is in perfect condition.
The maker's mark BANCEL is stamped into the base of the cross.
The figure is cast in bronze and has a lovely vintage patina.
This piece is in excellent condition.
