Antique French Letter Press Printer's Tray. Letterpress drawer, Wooden Printers Tray. Parisian Large, Industrial Loft Decor.

Letterpress drawer, well crafted antique printers tray. The original paper on the front depicting the typography is still in place but it is now faded. I have found so many great ideas on Pinterest for these drawers, they make great cupboard doors, coffee tables, group a few together to make a bed headboard. You can of course attach them to your wall to display your collections.

It is backed with wood on the bottom. The edges of the drawer are finger jointed. I have only lightly cleaned this so it may still be a bit dusty and there may be an odd bit of old cobweb but it's easily cleaned and polished if you wish to do so. Sometimes there are a few handwritten letters on some of the compartments on these trays where the printer has written these on himself to help identify letters when he was using the tray! The original backing paper is normally still there, sometimes perfect, sometimes a little torn and worn with time and use, please see photos for general condition. There may be the odd nick, split or chip in the wood. This tray has a couple of little worn areas, see photos for details. There is evidence of old woodworm but the tray has been treated as a precaution.
Occasionally you may find one or two of the small compartment sides that have broken or come a little loose through time, I try to capture this in the photos but please be aware that it is not always easy to identify as they can look perfect until very close inspection!
