A really sweet round teapot, with a charming thatched cottage design. the chimney forms the finial on the lid, and the handle and spout have rustic wood shapes. This is marked 'Crown Winsor England' and was made in the 1930s.
The cottage has stone walls, with a green front door complete with a horseshoe, three leaded windows and various stylised flowers and greenery around the base. It is marked as 'Hand Painted' and has the model number 4809.
Despite being around 90 years old, this is in fabulous condition. There are no chips or cracks, just some crazing to the glaze on the base and inside. It's really clean. You'd be totally comfortable using this for tea.

"Have nothing in your houses you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful"
William Morris
At Know to be Beautiful, we believe that beautiful things warm the heart and make a house a home. And the order world is full of beautiful things!
Over the decades artists and craftsmen have used our limited natural resources to make wonderful items. Once something has been loved and used it often makes it more beautiful, so, rather than always making new things, we like finding a new home for something that has already been made.
We aim for elegant packaging, to make classy gifts, but we try not to go over the top with plush boxes that are too good to throw away, but of no actual use!
