Antique toast rack - English Arts & Crafts Victorian order gothic

This is an antique toast rack, not marked but almost certainly English from the late Victorian Arts and Crafts era.

The rack is solid brass, non-magnetic, with a heavy dark patina. It has soldered connections between the components.

The five dividers spell "TOAST" in both directions, in classic Victorian gothic font.

The toast rack is 5 1/4" long, 2 3/8" wide, and 4 5/8" high at the centre handle (letter "A").

This is a fine old piece, rarely seen today. If you don't use it for toast, it would make a good holder for letters, napkins etc.
