Original Real Pressed Flower Art Pressed Botanical Art Herbarium of Elephant Ear Leaf order 11x14

This is an original real pressed flower art pressed botanical art herbarium of an Elephant Ear leaf. The name aptly describes the size and form of this tropical foliage plant. Fall has just begun in the mid-Atlantic region and is the time for this garden giant to shine. The plant loves heat and humidity, thriving when our perennials are near order spent and we tire of watering annuals. The diameter of the heart-shaped leaf ranges from just a few inches up to 18” or more. The tall, sturdy stems allow the leaves to catch breezes and gently sway. They grow from large, rough bulbs. This leaf is about 5.5” x 8.5” and retained its olive green color during pressing.

Garden Galleries botanicals are mounted on white, cold press watercolor paper unless otherwise noted in the description. The paper on which this leaf is mounted measures 11x14. It has been photographed in 11x14 mats with a window measuring 7.5” x 9.5.” The botanical can be purchased without a mat or with a 11x14 mat in white or vanilla.

This botanical is lovely as a specimen piece but also displays wonderfully with other botanicals in the shop. Keep in mind that botanical displays need not be limited to botanicals of the same size. Although treated against causes of degradation, real pressed botanicals remain delicate. It is strongly recommended that UV-protective glass be used in framing and that the botanicals be displayed away from direct sunlight, strong artificial light and moisture.
