Our sensory literacy sensory bin series is beginning with this classic tale. Jack and Beanstalk is a favorite of children and adults alike. The story has come to life in this largely handmade (with so much love) sensory bin that even includes a free copy of the book. Act out the story as you read it. Imagine different endings and make them come to life. Explore the story concepts in 3D to engage the senses and the mind on a multitude of levels.

The felt castle has a working door, 2 levels, 2 windows and brick detailing on 2 sides. The felt cottage has pretty flowers in front and several windows for the beans to be tossed from. The felt village backdrop has 3 houses each with a garden and props up nicely against one of the included logs. The felt beanstalk has a removable base and cloud top for easy storage. The bean vines hang in loops so Jack can really climb up and down. The felt tree doubles as a cone shaped scoop or a secret hiding place.

The bin is NOT included to save on shipping costs. I use bins with snapping lids from Walmart which come in a 4 pack for $10. Very inexpensive compared to shipping the same size from me to you! The bin pictured is approximately 12"x18"x6" but anything around that size will work.

The fill is also NOT included with this set and I'll explain why. :) Reason one is that many loose fills are often quite heavy and can be pricey to ship if you want something plain. It's much easier for you to pick up a couple of packages of dried goods on your next grocery trip. I use about 2 regular sized packages or a couple of pounds of sand. They will store for years in an airtight container so don't be afraid to switch things up. The second reason is this that this set is multi-functional. It can be used with so many fills and in so many ways including as is as an adorable platset. You decide how you want to use it. Hand dyed pasta and rice is available in separate listings in my shop if you'd like to add some.

This item is shipping from CANADA but I use a shipping service and USPS shipping and labels for US customers. This dramatically decreases travel time. I use both first class mail and Priority Shipping.

This item contains small parts and may not be suitable for children under 3. Please supervise young children especially those still mouthing toys when playing with any sensory bin.

We are located in Canada and use a shipping service for packages which allows us to use USPS for our US customers and offer better rates to our Canadian and international customers. Please allow approximately 48 hours for US tracking numbers to become active in the USPS system (after your initial shipping notification arrives) or feel free to message for the internal tracking number for my shipping service to show the movement before it enters the USPS system.
