So fun to make , this festive and colorful vintage fabric bouquet uses a vintage muslin material from India. It has a white background with squares showing Indian deities.
Prayer, music, instruments in primary colors cover the interesting fabric. Lots of Blue and mustard yellow can be seen through the pom styled bouquet. I've added small pieces of vintage tulle in a complementing yellow with 1970's lace and white cotton. There are bits of vintage sequin and beads sewn on to some of the tips allowing for a little shine when the bouquet hits the light.

Over forty five hand wired florets are made using the vintage materials. Tied twisted looped and ruffled they together make a globe shape of vintage fluff. The bouquets come from my original design and are meant to celebrate the events in life that call for a sweet and simple accessory. The handmade stem order is wrapped in fabric and secured using three antique spin buttons with faceted metal pieces that turn inside the buttons.

It measures 7 1/2" across and is 9" tall. It comes with two matching boutonnieres just as sweet in the Indian fabric and one in white. Each of the florets is wired tightly into the stem. You can spread and pull the clusters out some for a larger looser looking bouquet or keep it it's roundy moundy self.

Like no other, my little vintage fabric bouquets, boutonniere's, corsages and head wreathes are for the brave.
They have a very handmade look to them.
I don't use any new product except floral tape and all materials have been hand washed using Ecover a plant based mineral soap and line dried in the Oregon sun ... unless of course its raining.
