Samurai Teahouse Set

A small chashitsu teahouse from old Japan. Tea houses are usually small, simple wooden buildings. They are located in the gardens or grounds of private homes, or temples and parks. The building is usually surrounded by a small garden, with a path leading to the tea room. Along the path is a waiting bench for guests and a stone water-basin near the tea house, where the guests rinse their hands and mouths before entering through a small door, which symbolically separates the small, simple, quiet inside from the crowded, overwhelming outside world.

Traditional elements of the interior include the tokonoma alcove with hanging scroll, a lowered entrance required participants to bow to enter, tatami flooring, and sliding paper doors and windows.

This terrain model includes a set of fences and a gate, and a small decorative garden with accessories. The fences are based on authentic bamboo and twine fences found at Ginkakuji, in Kyoto.

The teahouse building measures approximately 100mm by 100mm (4" x 4"), with the thatched roof overhanging to 140mm by 140mm (5½" x 5½"). The building is 110mm (4½") tall. The whole set (in the arrangement pictured in the black and white photo) covers an area approximately 315mm x 230mm (12½" x 9").

Items are unfinished and unassembled. Some trimming/flashing removal may be necessary as 3d printing is not perfect. Each model may require cleanup, filler, and sanding for proper fit/smoothness. Layer lines may also exist or be visible on the product.

Items are supplied in any color we have on hand. This could include pink, blue, white, black, brown, gray, green, gold, yellow, etc. We buy PLA plastic in bulk to try to pass the savings on to you. Speaking of savings, we also reuse shipping boxes. Your item might arrive in an old Amazon or other retailer's box.
Do not leave these in direct sunlight or a hot car. They WILL warp with heat.
