My career working as a leather craftsperson started some forty years ago when a shop in the village of Maplewood, NJ began buying my handmade leather belts. It was a groovy little shop that sold records, candles, incense, earth shoes, Levi's, plants, posters, pottery, etc.

All Fineline Leather items combine classic styling with traditional construction for function and durability. Each Belt has been carefully designed and crafted from Premium American 7/8 Ounce Full-grain order Soft Pebble Grain Leather.

This listing is for a 1-1/2 inch leather belt with one line of custom personalized imprinting in either Classic Black Leather, or Chocolate Brown Leather.

The belts are offered with a plain leather strap, or a leather strap with a stitched border.

The Black belts will include a solid brass buckle with nickel plate, a leather belt keeper, and matching screw rivets which makes the buckle removable.

The Brown belts will include solid brass buckle in natural brass, a leather belt keeper, and matching screw rivets which makes the buckle removable.

The Belts are hand stripped from double shoulder hides, and all of the edges have been beveled and hand dyed with an edge-kote dye.

Each belt is conditioned with a liquid and a paste leather dye and finished with a topcoat of English gel.

When ordering please measure your waist size where you would like the belt to fit. The belts sizing is measured from the middle of the belt buckle to the center hole, with two extra holes on each side.

Please note that a waist size is different then a pant size. If you wear a 34 pant your belt size would be one size larger or a 36.

The belts can be ordered in the following variations,

1) Belt and buckle without stitching and one line (16-18 spaces) of personalized imprinting.

2) Belt and buckle including a border of stitching and one line (16-18 spaces) of personalized imprinting.

The imprinting options are listed below. When the belt is being worn the imprinting is located on the left hand side of the belt above the front pocket. The brown belts are imprinted with black colored foil and the black belts are imprinted with brown colored foil.

The Hot-Stamp imprinting is an old school method. Metal type is set up just like a printer would, but instead of using a printing press and ink we use an American made hot-stamp machine. The zinc/lead letters or logos are heated to 275 degrees and Hot-stamped into the leather.

There are two letter fonts to choose from, Ariel and Bookman.

Arial is a plain font

Bookman font has a more classic styling with serifs

The following are the imprinting options.

Option 1. This option uses either of the 30 point fonts (Bookman or Arial font) to spell out a name. The Bookman font set includes numbers so I can imprint dates, etc. I also have a heart symbol that looks great.

Option 4. This option is for monograms which are imprinted in the right hand corner. A monogram has the initial of the last name larger and in the center of the first initial and middle initial. This option uses both the 30 and 48 point font Bookman font sets. The initial for the last name is in the middle using the larger 48 point font set and the initials for the first name and the middle name use the smaller 30 point font set and are placed on either side of the middle initial.

Option 5. This option uses either of the 30 point fonts (Bookman or Arial font) for imprinting in the lower right hand corner of the wallet.
If you have a font preference between Bookman and Ariel, please include that when you place your order.
