This piece is done with the copper foil technique; meaning each piece is hand cut, ground, foiled, and soldered together! This piece also features a lovely yellow colored glass with a slightly wavy texture!
Reaching a height of 8 in and a width of 9 in, this piece is certain to grab the attention of anyone who walks into the room this is held up in and will even add some nice yellow coloration to the room as the sun shines through it!
The leather cord holding it up is about 11.5 in. long!
This suncatcher is 100% unique, even though I reuse this pattern, each and every piece is hand cut, ground, foiled, and soldered - and due to the fact every glass sheet (even of the same color) is hand made as well, this means each and every piece made with this pattern is still completely unique and one of a kind!
The hooks that hold this piece up are behind it it (see pictures) and placed on an established solder line, making the bond even stronger and more reliable than simply placing them on the top of the piece.
DO NOT HANG UP THIS OR ANY PIECES WITH A SUCTION CUP! Due to the weight, it would fall and possibly break! A simple nail is more than enough for hanging this piece.
