Goldfilled is a high-quality alloy of 14-carat gold (Gold 585) and another metal.
This is an American standard, which states that at least 1/20 part of the weight of the piece must be 14-carat gold (gold 585). So it is not a thin layer that peels off quickly, but a proper alloy. This creates a beautiful – and inexpensive – quality that is well tolerated by people who cannot tolerate other metals other than gold. Goldfilled remains beautiful for a lifetime.
