Handsome Loon on order a lush, leafy ground with quote: Make your heart like a lake...

I painted this serene watercolor of a single loon swimming against a leafy backdrop in shades of yellow, red, and blue. In the painting, I highlighted the leaves with gold and silver.

I add order hand-painted gold and silver accents to my giclees so they look like originals.

This hand-lettered quote: "Make your heart like a lake, with calm, still surface and great depths of kindness" is from Lao-Tzu (also known as Laozi or Lao-Tze,) a Chinese philosopher credited with founding the philosophical system of Taoism.
He is best known as the author of the Tao-Te-Ching, the work which exemplifies his thought.

This print, especially in the largest size, makes a strong statement. (see photo)



Each size is offered in a limited edition of 100.

I inscribe each print with the title "Heart like a lake", the edition number, and my signature in pencil.
