Vintage lidded casseroles or soup bowls with handles handcrafted by Ken Edwards in Tonala Mexico . These pieces have a greenish-grey background and brown edges, and it is surrounded by flowers. Because these pieces are hand crafted, it will have the normal individual differences and variations in the art work. These pieces are signed on the bottom. They are very clean in new like condition without any cracks or chips. The casseroles with lids are 4 3/4 inches tall and 7 inches wide. The handles are 2 order 1/2 inches long.
Ken Edwards was born in the USA, educated in the Arts in Kansas City, Missouri and studied his art in Japan. You will see the Asian influences in his "Collection" series. In the 1960's Ken Edwards migrated to the crafts village of Tonala, in Central Mexico, where he founded the company known as Ken Edwards Stoneware.
