Shawnee Corn King
Shawnee Pottery of Zanesville, Ohio produced three lines of corn ware from 1941 until the company closed in 1961. The company's corn ware was its most well-known pottery and considered to be highly collectible still today. The first line, WHITE CORN KING was designed with white kernels and dark green husks and produced from 1941 - 1946. The line consisted of seven pieces. More pieces were added in 1946 and the colors were changed to yellow and a lighter green husks. This new line was named, CORN KING. When sales dipped, Shawnee replaced the line in 1954 with QUEEN CORN, with lighter yellow kernels and darker green husk.

I make every effort to provide realistic photos and answer questions honestly and promptly. A quarter is placed in the primary photo to show size comparison. Although I strive to make colors as true as possible, due to your monitor's settings, the order colors you see on your screen may not be a totally accurate reproduction of the actual piece. The screen images are a guide and should not be regarded as absolutely correct. Don't hesitate to ask questions and please look at all the pictures. If you need more pictures or a clarification, contact me.
Most all pieces are pre-owned. I carefully check them and if I find a flaw, crack, or chip, I post a picture. However, I may sometimes miss something. If I do and you find it, please contact me so we can work it out. But, please remember you are buying previously used items which usually have some sort of wear.
My shop is smoke-free. Thank you for shopping in my Etsy store!
