ABOUT THE INSECTS I USE:
With my unique background as a professionally trained entomologist & a Master's degree in Conservation biology, I DO NOT work with rare or endangered species and only use sustainably/farmed/widely available species. A majority of my specimens I use are breed on special insect farms that raise insects for live flying butterfly displays, zoos and collectors. These farms are endorsed and sometimes run by conservation groups (like WWF and Nature Conservancy) because they promote forest conservation by giving local populations a sustainable income that does not involve forest destruction, like agricultural farming or logging.
