Eco Printed Silk order Scarf

I created this gorgeous Hand-Made 100% silk scarf without any dyes or paints, making it environmentally friendly. This process is called Eco-printing or Botanical printing. Fresh leaves and blossoms are pressed against the silk scarf, carefully wrapped in a bundle and steamed for a few hours.

This particular scarf has been pre-dyed with marigolds from my garden, then I use native leaves & flowers to print over the dye. It is a sunny shade or marigold yellow with tan, mauve, light brown and bits of burgundy & grey. My creative process finds me on my bike, foraging for native New England leaves and blossoms. This beauty was "printed" with different types of leaves such as Red maple, oak, northern maple and marigold petals.

The leaf print & yellow dye are permanent and can be gently hand washed with PH neutral soap such as Dawn dish liquid. You will receive the scarf in this photo which is completely order One-of-a-Kind!!
