Handmade order lamp in natural wood and japanese paper. The house of bees

order Beechwood Table lamp, completely handmade by cutting and assembling various size of wooden strips. The lamp is decorated with one of the classic zoomorphic motifs, the Bees. These tiny pollinating insects, which are currently at risk of extinction, are extremely essential for the survival of our species; in fact, with their meticulous work, they contribute to safeguarding biodiversity on our fragile planet Earth, ensuring the pollination of a multitude of plant species. The design made by the undersigned is vaguely inspired by the liberty style. The alternation of the two primary colors and the play of the fascinating geometries of the beehive are intended to give the lamp a small psychedelic suggestion.
The used materials are made of natural origin and the entire hand made manufacturing process was carried out in respect of the Environment. I used the natural wood for the construction of the frame, and the traditional Japanese Washi paper for the creation of the lampshade. The adhesives and paints used for gluing and finishing are mostly water-based or composed of natural resins. The color is given by brush.
