Vintage Pastel Chalk Maritime Drawing by Capt. R.H. Knight This is a beautifully executed pastel chalk drawing of a maritime scene with several fishing boats in port. At first glance i thought this was a watercolor but its a chalk drawing. The piece is set behind glass and in a white washed oak frame and has been professionally matted. In the lower right hand corner it is signed Capt. R.H. Knight '66. The back of the piece is stamped discount frames and art supplies Nokomis Florida. This definitely looks like a scene from near Nokomis. I would guess Captain Knight was a fishing boat captain in the Sarasota area in the 1960s and he did art as well. The frame measures 26 3/4" x 20 3/4" sight seen dimensions are order 17 1/2" x 12 1/2" Condition: The artwork is in excellent condition with only minor wear to the frame. It is ready to hang.
