This felted artic play mat was first needle felted then lightly wet.
order This felted artic play mat was first needle felted, then lightly wet felted to smooth the wool. It was made with white and blue wool roving as the base, with other needle felted elements that are not attached so they can be arranged as the child wishes. The mat itself can be rolled up when not in use and secured with a bit of ribbon. It is 20" long by 12-13" wide.
The play pieces include an igloo with a floor (5"), an Eskimo (5" tall), large and small polar bears, (6" and 4" wide) and a seal (5"). Some were made with a pipe cleaner armature; those are pretty thickly felted over the wire so the child should not feel them. The Eskimo is holding a spear, made with a pipe cleaner. This can be removed if you would prefer-just add a note in the Note to Seller box at checkout.
All parts of this are soft and made entirely of wool. The only exceptions are the pipe cleaners used to form the base of the animals.
