This Navy Dress Blue uniform consists of a Navy Blue wool jumper.
This Navy Dress Blue uniform consists of a Navy Blue wool jumper, worn by D.G. Metzger. The white embroidered wings with crossed hammers show this seaman was a USA Navy Aviation Metalsmith. The patch commonly referred to as the “Ruptured Duck” over the right breast pocket is a 1940s World War II Honorable Discharge insignia patch.
The dress blue jumper has 1/4" wide white pinstripes along the cuff and collar flap, and has two embroidered white stars on the corners of the collar flap. The cuffs have a double row of striping, and denotes a seaman second class. With a left breast pocket and hidden inside pocket.
In excellent condition for it's 80s year vintage. One cuff button missing. A tiny hole near right armpit. Needs order a good lint brushing.
