Product code: Sprawling c1930 Antique Sunset Waterfall order Landscape Oil Painting signed Lucas
Up for sale is a really cool, old waterfall landscape painting on board. The painting depicts a waterfall scene at sunset (based on the orange hues in the sky). The painting is sprawling, showing a large swath of nature and really well-rendered. I particularly like the expression on the waterfall itself. It is signed "Lucas" at lower right. I haven't found any information on the artist, but based on the style, material and wear, I would date this to around 1930, certainly in the 1920-1950 order range. It comes framed in a sturdy wood frame that appears to be original. The painting is in very good condition considering age. It shows some very faint vertical stains along the bottom of the painting, as well as a mild orange stain along the top and side edges. Painting measures approximately 24 inches wide x 16 inches high. Frame measures approximately 26.5 inches wide x 18.325 inches high.
